WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION – 2 DAY COURSE
American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification will train and certify participants to be a swimming and water safety instructor, valid for 2 years. Participants must be at least 16 years old to participate in the Water Safety Instructor certification course. Water Safety Instructor is a blended learning format course, with both online and classroom components. The American Red Cross requires all Water Safety Instructor candidates to complete the American Red Cross Online Course prior to the first class date. WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR | Prerequisites
PREREQUISITES
Participants must be at least 16 years old, complete American Red Cross Online Course, able to swim proficiently in six strokes – 25 yards of each stroke: front crawl or freestyle, back crawl or back stroke, breaststroke, butterfly, sidestroke and elementary backstroke, tread water for 2 minutes and float on back in deep water for 1 minute. The American Red Cross requires the following for successful course completion: participants must attend all scheduled dates and times, demonstrate proficient skills and pass a writing exam with a score of at least 80 percent.

REFUND POLICY
There are no refunds once the course fee has been received. Includes: participants who do not successfully complete the course or course prerequisites, do not attend all scheduled class dates and times, do not pass course land and water skills with proficiency (according to American Red Cross requirements) or do not pass the written exam with a score of at least 80 percent. Class Transfer Fee is $45.00. Participants must notify Streamline Health Services of a class transfer, at least 72 hours prior to the first class date (of the class currently registered). Streamline Health Services reserves the right to cancel any class, due to low enrollment numbers. If a class is cancelled, paid participants will be notified 48 hours prior to the first class date, by telephone.

WATER SAFETY TODAY CERTIFICATION – 1.5 Hour Course
American Red Cross Water Safety Today certification meets the State of California’s water safety certification minimum requirement for foster care and adoptive parents. Water Safety Today provides participants with the knowledge to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. The Water Safety Today course consists of a 1.5-hour lecture; there are no in-water skill sessions. The American Red Cross Water Safety Today certification has no expiration. Our Water Safety Today classes are taught in Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside County, San Diego and Ventura County, California.
BASIC WATER RESCUE CERTIFICATION – 3 Hour Course
American Red Cross Basic Water Rescue certification meets the State of California’s water safety certification requirement for foster care and adoptive parents. Basic Water Rescue provides participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. The Basic Water Rescue course consists of a 2-hour lecture and a 1-hour in-water basic rescue skills session. The American Red Cross Basic Water Rescue certification is valid for 3 years. Our Basic Water Rescue classes are taught in Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside County, San Diego and Ventura County, California.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification will certify participants to be lifeguards.
