BASIC WATER RESCUE – 3 HOUR CLASS
American Red Cross Basic Water Rescue certification meets the State of California’s water safety certification requirement for foster care and adoptive parents. Basic Water Rescue provides participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. The Basic Water Rescue course consists of a 2-hour lecture and a 1-hour in water rescue skills session. American Red Cross Basic Water Rescue is a national certification, valid for 3 years.

There are no prerequisites, The American Red Cross requires the following for successful course completion: participants attend scheduled date and times, demonstrate proficient skills and pass a writing exam with a score of at least 80 percent.

REFUND POLICY
There are no refunds once the course fee has been received. Includes: participants who do not successfully complete the course, do not attend all scheduled class dates and times, do not pass course land and water skills with proficiency (according to American Red Cross requirements) or do not pass the written exam with a score of at least 80 percent. Class Transfer Fee is $25.00. Participants must notify Streamline Health Services of a class transfer, at least 72 hours prior to the first class date (of the class currently registered). Streamline Health Services reserves the right to cancel any class, due to low enrollment numbers. If a class is cancelled, paid participants will be notified 48 hours prior to the first class date, by telephone.

BASIC WATER RESCUE | Continuing Education Units (CEU)
The American Red Cross offers continuing education units (CEU) to maintain a license and/or certification. The American Red Cross is an approved authorized provider for the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification will certify participants to teach swim lessons and water safety courses. The American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification is valid for 2 years. Our 2-DAY Water Safety Instructor classes are taught in Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside County, San Diego and Ventura County, California.

American Red Cross Water Safety Today certification meets the State of California’s water safety certification minimum requirement for foster care and adoptive parents. Water Safety Today provides participants with the knowledge to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. The Water Safety Today course consists of a 1.5-hour lecture; there are no in-water skill sessions. The American Red Cross Water Safety Today certification has no expiration. Our Water Safety Today classes are taught in Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside County, San Diego and Ventura County, California.
LIFEGUARD TRAINING CERTIFICATION – 2 Day Course
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification will certify participants to be lifeguards. The Lifeguard Training course includes the following certifications: Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CRR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, valid for 2 years. Our 2-DAY Lifeguard Training classes are taught in Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside County, San Diego and Ventura County, California.
